Bringing Champaign-Urbana’s oldest operating restaurant back to life was no easy feat. It took a passion for historic preservation and restoration of a building of a former operating business to construct the Courier Café, now on its 32 year of serving C-U’s residents and visitors alike.

While this town isn’t exactly as densely populated or sizeable as Chicago, owner Allen Strong commends it for its diversity and the omnipresent community that seems to be responsible for this thriving business.

Now all we need is a real artist!

new food truck: Egg Slut « FOOD TRUCK ADVENTURE: "Once in a while a new food truck comes along that gives me the butterflies (excitement) and I felt it once again in the Egg Slut. The name in itself would cause you to double take and make sure you read it right. I’m sure it’s causing a lot of discussions (among other drivers) while they are on the freeway or stuck in traffic. In fact, I had to explain to my middle schooler what “slut” means. I figured it’s best the explanation comes from her mom rather than finding out about it from somewhere or someone else. So, before I drift on to an entirely different topic let me go back to food. Yes, the Egg Slut.
